Bio

I retired in 1999 after 40 years in the English Department of Wright College, where I was department chair for 7 years and Wright's Distinguished Service Professor for 1995-96. Finding myself 73, widowed, alone, and depressed, I published my first book, "Reinventing Myself: Memoirs of a Retired Professor," in 2006. I published my second book, "Seniorwriting: A Brief Guide For Seniors Who Want to Write" in 2007, and completed a family tribute to my late mother as well. I am a member os the Illinois Woman's Press Association, the National Federation of Press Women, the Chicago Writers Association, and the Authors Marketing Group and a volunteer at the Chicago Cultural Center. I received my BA degree from Luther College and my MA from the University of Minnesota.
