This is the time of year when a lot of us (at least those of us who live in colder climates) start to experience the "winter blues."
What do you do to fight them? Eat? Write? Exercise? Or do you flee to a warmer climate for a while? What works for you?

I don't think this Forum feature is working properly, so I hope it will be improved eventually. But be patient! Once you get used to the system, you'll not lose your text. For major efforts, it's better to write things first in your own computer program, save them, and then copy and paste. That way, you won't lost your work no matter what. This site does not have an automatic save feature.

Thanks for the tip Seniorwriter. I will try that. Missed writing in my journal in the last couple of days. I haven't finished Seniorwriting; Probably in the next two days I will. But I have a lot of notes on the margins that I could go back to. Stay warm in Chicago. Forecast of warmer temps in Goose Creek. I think I will venture outside today.

Since I am new to the site, I have not completed many of the pages on my account. Bear with me, I will try to do them sooner than later. I was writing a post earlier on the writing forum, lost everything when I momentarily used my back arrow. When I went back to my page, everything was gone. I hate it when that happens. All that work, for nothing. I could not recover my post. And has to reproduce what I said and I couldn't come out with similar copy as I had earlier. I have done that many times on Yahoo mail and hit a key, and everything disappears.
But I agree with the Seniorwriter. On winter days like today, even here in Goose Creek, SC I was cold to be venturing outside. But writing in front of a computer surely while the time away.
And it gave me reasons to say,"I think I will stay indoors today".

As you might expect, writing is my main cure. However, it's not always easy; there's nothing like taking a walk for inspiration, and that's not possible in Chicago right now.
